Research

The BAIP is a facility of the Competence Centre Photovoltaics Berlin (PVcomB) of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and is closely connected with the institute's research. Our team members are part of current research projects. The Living Lab for BIPV and, for example, the projects SolarChip and Solar TAP as well as the Helmholtz Climate Initiative play a special role here.

BAIP also regularly initiates and supports bachelor's and master's theses related to BIPV.

  • ‘Building-integrated photovoltaics - An investigation of solar modules as ventilated curtain wall facade depending on the specific rear-ventilation and insulation’, Niklas Albinius, Master thesis, Berlin 2022.
