The KlimaWerkstatt@Berlin innovation workshop on the topic of “Innovation in the skilled crafts sector” will take place at MotionLab.Berlin at the beginning of November. Supported by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, examples and ways of how craft businesses and technology providers can jointly develop and successfully implement innovations will be demonstrated. As part of the workshop “Innovation im Handwerk - produktiver mit Technologie”, ways to achieve greater efficiency, competitiveness and climate protection for Berlin will be developed.
Program highlights:
In addition to special topics on innovations in processes and software, this event will focus on innovations in the solar sector. There will be an exciting presentation by Dr. Björn Rau on “Photovoltaics in the building skin”. After a brief introduction to building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), the focus will be on an experience report from four years of operating the Living Lab for BIPV at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin. In particular, he will talk about interdisciplinary work as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise in result. During this workshop, there will also be presentations given by the SolarZentrum Berlin, which will provide broad information on current developments in the field of solar energy technologies, and the Drone Brothers, who use drones for surveying and monitoring PV systems.
